DAI Labs exhibited at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026<\/a>, held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 27\u201329. The event opened with speeches by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, creating an energetic atmosphere that reflected Japan\u2019s strong commitment to supporting startups and innovation.

This year\u2019s event focused on four key themes: AI, Resilience, Robotics, and Entertainment.<\/strong> Discussions covered a broad range of topics, from innovation across industries to disaster prevention, urban resilience, automation, logistics, healthcare, quality of life, and culture. As a company leveraging satellite data and AI to address environmental and social challenges, we found the themes of AI and Resilience especially aligned with our daily work and mission.<\/p>\n

What We Showcased at Our Booth<\/b><\/h3>\n

At our booth, we introduced CanopyScope<\/a>, our nature-focused solution powered by satellite data and AI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many visitors were surprised by the wide range of insights that satellite data can provide. In addition to LULC and AGB analysis for monitoring deforestation and supporting carbon credit development, we showcased various use cases such as vegetation management around power lines and early wildfire detection. In particular, many attendees were impressed by the ability to analyze detailed information such as tree height using high-precision data from Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency\u2019s Earth observation satellite \u201cDaichi\u201d (ALOS).<\/span><\/p>\n

One of DAI Labs\u2019 strengths is our ability to integrate multiple satellite datasets with drone imagery and field survey data. By taking an approach that does not rely on a single data source, we are able to provide more accurate and practical solutions. We shared concrete examples demonstrating how this multi-layered analysis can contribute to disaster prevention and infrastructure management, which sparked many engaging conversations with visitors<\/span><\/p>\n

The event also provided a meaningful opportunity to hear directly from organizations and professionals working across sustainability, infrastructure, and resilience fields in Japan and around the world. Through conversations with fellow startups, major corporations, and local governments, we were able to build valuable connections and exchange ideas unique to this kind of conference environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Positive Momentum After the Event<\/b><\/h3>\n

Since the event, we have started conversations with professionals across a wide range of industries, including real estate, finance, manufacturing, consulting, and government agencies. Although these discussions are still in the early stages, we have been greatly encouraged by the strong interest in the potential of satellite data and AI.<\/span><\/p>\n
